Bartolotta Announces Nearly $2.3 Million for Water and Wastewater Projects in the 46th District

HARRISBURG – Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46) announced today the approval of nearly $2.3 million in state funding for water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure improvement projects across Greene and Washington counties.

The funding, totaling $2,274,550, was awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) and disseminated primarily through the Small Water and Sewer Program, which supports critical infrastructure projects for municipalities and municipal authorities across Pennsylvania.

“These investments address some of the most essential needs in our communities,” Bartolotta said. “Reliable water and wastewater systems protect public health, support economic development and improve quality of life. I’m pleased to see these dollars coming back to the 46th District to support projects that will have a lasting impact.”

Greene County

  • Center Township – West Greene School District – Sewer Access: $424,970
  • Franklin Township Sewer Authority – EverGreene Technology Park Pump Station Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project: $68,036
    • This project was funded through the PENNWORKS Program, which provides single-year or multiyear grants to municipalities and municipal authorities for water supply and wastewater infrastructure. The PENNWORKS Program is administered by the CFA.

Washington County

  • Carroll Township Authority – Pigeon Creek Pump Station Improvements: $260,525
  • North Strabane Township – McGregor Avenue Drainage Improvement Project: $50,073
  • City of Monongahela – Mounds Park Area Storm Sewer Replacement Project (Phase 1): $304,310
  • The Authority of the Borough of Charleroi – Water Loss Flow Monitoring: $170,929
  • Carroll Township – Valley Avenue Park Bioswale Project: $73,312
  • Centerville Borough Sanitary Authority – Sewer Line Replacement: $127,500
  • Donegal Township – Air Release Valve Replacement Project: $113,805
  • North Strabane Township – Curry Avenue Drainage Improvement Project: $116,090
  • Washington East Washington Joint Authority – Chartiers Interceptor Manhole Rehabilitation Project: $425,000
  • Finleyville Borough – Storm Sewer Improvements Project: $100,000
  • Hanover Township Sewer Authority – Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System Improvements Project: $40,000
