Honoring Miss Joyce Ellis

On this edition of Focus on the 46th, we honor the life and work of Miss Joyce Ellis, who passed away on Wednesday, December 16.

It is a sad day and the light of the world is a little less bright when we lose such a truly beautiful soul. Miss Joyce Ellis was a force of nature and the embodiment of God’s blessing to all she knew.

Her transformation of the abandoned LeMoyne Community Center in Washington was symbolic of the transformation her love, dedication and mentorship made to the thousands of lives she touched. She walked in light and love and she will be deeply missed.

She is dancing with the angels and I know she is wrapped in God’s embrace. Here is the program I recorded with Miss Joyce in October 2015. Thank you, Miss Joyce, for bringing joy to all of us and making so many lives better.
