Aliquippa Library Awarded State Grant

HARRISBURG – A grant awarded by the state Department of Education will help the B.F. Jones Memorial Library in Aliquippa replace its boiler system with a more efficient unit, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).

The grant of $39,911 was awarded on a competitive basis through the Department’s Keystone Grants program, which is designed to help in the planning, rehabilitation and construction of public libraries. The Aliquippa grant is one of 19 projects throughout the state that were selected in the current round of funding.

“Our local libraries provide a wealth of resources to local communities, so it is critical for us to ensure they have the facilities and infrastructure to offer those services,” Bartolotta said. “I am thankful that this funding will help one of our libraries to continue to support educational efforts to community residents of all ages.”
