HARRISBURG – A pair of state grants totaling more than $600,000 will support recreation projects in Greene County, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).
The grants will support site improvements at the Wisecarver Recreation Area and the Greene River Trail Extension.
“Efforts have been underway for several years to develop the area around the Wisecarver Reservoir, and the Greene River Trail has undergone a number of improvements over the past decade,” Bartolotta said. “I am thankful that this grant funding will help build on the progress we have already seen on both of these recreational projects.”
Funding for the program was provided through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program, which is administered by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
