Senate Approves New Marketing Tool for Veteran-Owned Businesses

HARRISBURG – The Senate passed a bill today that would provide a valuable new marketing tool for veteran-owned businesses, according to the bill’s sponsor, Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).

Senate Bill 1041 would direct the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to create special logos to promote veteran-owned businesses. Bartolotta said the legislation would support the entrepreneurial efforts of veterans throughout Pennsylvania.

“Many military veterans have the drive, discipline and leadership to be successful business owners, and we should support those who take the leap into owning their own business,” Bartolotta said. “Supporting veteran-owned businesses not only shows our thanks to the brave individuals who served our Commonwealth and our nation, but it also helps the economy by supporting new job options and economic opportunities in our communities.”

The bill was sent to the House of Representatives for consideration.
