HARRISBURG – A series of committee hearings regarding Governor Wolf’s plan to consolidate several state agencies will continue with a meeting in Pittsburgh on May 1.

The Senate Health and Human Services Committee, Senate Aging and Youth Committee, Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee, and Senate Appropriations Committee’s Health and Human Services Subcommittee will gather testimony on the proposal to combine the Department of Human Services, Department of Health, Department of Aging and the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.

The hearing will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the William Pitt Union Assembly Room on the University of Pittsburgh campus.

Joint hearings were already held with various agency heads and Wolf Administration officials in Harrisburg and Reading earlier this month.

Media coverage of the hearing is invited and appreciated.
