HARRISBURG – A federal transportation grant will fund a critical stormwater project along Route 88 in Charleroi Borough, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).
In combination with a PennDOT project, the $975,000 in federal funding will help address deficiencies in stormwater management above and under Route 88. The grant was awarded with input from PennDOT as part of the federal Transportation Alternatives Program, which funds a variety of projects designed to improve public safety for motorists and pedestrians.
The project was one of 51 projects totaling $33 million awarded statewide.
