HARRISBURG – Signage designating a portion of State Route 1030 in Donora Borough in honor of Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. will be unveiled on Sunday, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).
The signs will be uncovered during a ceremony on October 2 at noon at the MIDA property at the intersection of First Street & Ken Griffey Sr. & Jr. Drive (formerly Galiffa Drive). The road designation was a result of legislation sponsored by Bartolotta in order to honor the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame careers of two of Donora’s most decorated professional athletes.
Ken Griffey, Sr. and his family will join Bartolotta and local and state government representatives for the ceremony.
