Bartolotta Applauds Donora Job Creation Announcement

HARRISBURG – Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46) applauded today’s announcement of a chemical milling company expansion that will bring 41 new jobs to Donora Borough.

Tech Met, Inc. will receive a $200,000 Pennsylvania First program grant and $34,850 in WEDnetPA funding for employee training. The funding will aid in the company’s purchase and renovation of the former PolyOne Corp. site on East 8th Street. The company will invest at least $5 million in the project.

“This is a great example of how state government can work with private industry in order to support job growth in industries that are important to our region,” Bartolotta said. “Manufacturing remains one of Pennsylvania’s most critical industries, and I am thankful that this project will help create exciting new job opportunities for hardworking community residents.”

The new facility will operate in addition to the company’s existing facility in Glassport, which employs 35 people. The expansion will allow Tech Met, Inc. to meet a growing demand for process work for Bell Helicopter and Barnes Aerospace.
