May 11, 2021: Senator Bartolotta, along with other members of the Pennsylvania Legislative Hunger Caucus and hunger awareness advocates held a ceremony to mark the 11th season of the Capitol Hunger Garden. The garden which is an approximately 1,000 square foot plot of land adjacent to the State Capitol Building is overseen by the Hunger Caucus and tended to by the Penn State Master Gardeners. It's a great way to provide healthy food to those in need and serve as a valuable tool to raise awareness of hunger issues in Pennsylvania.

April 8, 2021 - During the Senate Appropriations Committee budget hearing with the Department of Labor and Industry, Senator Bartolotta noted that while the pandemic created a challenge, the failures of the Wolf Administration and shutdowns of employers, harsher than most states, created a crisis for families. She also asked Acting Secretary Jennifer Berrier what her department is doing to connect jobseekers with the many good-paying jobs that are going unfilled. Just as importantly, she highlighted the urgent need to improve the Unemployment Compensation call centers.
