Media Advisory – Bartolotta to Unveil Legislation Helping Small, Diverse and Veteran Businesses

HARRISBURG – Senators Camera Bartolotta (R-46) and Vincent Hughes (D-7) will be unveiling the Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunity (DISBO) legislation they sponsored on Monday, September 27, at 10 a.m. in the Capitol Media Center, Main Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.

The bill would update the small and disadvantaged business and veteran-owned business provision of the Procurement and Military and Veteran Affairs Codes to increase and enhance participation of small, diverse and veteran businesses in state and local procurement opportunities.

In addition to the bill’s sponsors, speakers will include Governor Tom Wolf, Secretary Curtis Topper, Representative Jake Wheatley (D-19), Representative Donna Bullock (D-195) and Deputy Secretary Kerry Kirkland.

Following all guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, attendees will be required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. Media is asked to email ra-gvgovpress@pa.gov with the name and media outlet for the reporters who will be in attendance.
