Bartolotta Invites Households of 46th District to Identity Theft Prevention Event on Aug. 7

ALIQUIPPA – To help residents fight rampant identity theft, Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46) is hosting a free Identity Theft Prevention Event on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building parking lot, 1700 Clark Blvd., Aliquippa.

It will be a drive-through event for individuals only, not businesses. An industrial shredder truck will be on site, and up to two bags or boxes will be accepted per vehicle. Identity theft information will be provided.

“Unfortunately, as the last year has proven, criminals who are determined to access our personal information for their own financial gain are only becoming more cunning. Safely disposing of sensitive documents can significantly lower the likelihood of falling victim to these scams,” Sen. Bartolotta said. “The Identity Theft Prevention Event I am hosting is both a convenient and smart way to get rid of personal information.”

Phonebooks, newspapers and bound books cannot be accepted. Please remove any binder or paper clips.

It is not necessary to register for the event, but residents who have questions are asked to call the district office at 724-225-4380.
