Bartolotta Announces Federal Funding for Local Schools

HARRISBURG – Local schools will receive more than $60 million in federal funding from the most recent stimulus bill approved by Congress, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).

The funding may be used for a wide variety of purposes to help students, including purchasing PPE and other safety supplies, funding programs and services to help improve student achievement and prevent learning loss, acquiring space to allow for social distancing, and more.

“Our schools are doing a great job of getting kids and teachers back in the classroom safely so they can begin to make up for missed in-person instruction during the pandemic,” Bartolotta said. “This funding will help school districts take the next steps to recover from the damage caused by COVID-19.”
