Fox Stop Road Repair Project Set to Begin Soon

HARRISBURG – Repair work will begin soon on a Fallowfield Township road that has been closed for nearly two years due to damage caused by severe weather, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).

The damage to Fox Stop Road has led to long detours for local families and first responders facing emergency calls in the area. Bartolotta recently secured a $275,000 grant from the state Department of Community and Economic Development to make the necessary repairs to reopen the roadway.

Engineering work for the project is set to begin in the weeks ahead, and construction is scheduled to begin in the fall. The projected completion date of the project is in early 2022.

“Families in the area have faced significant delays and continue to endure threats to their safety and wellbeing due to this road closure, but there were no easy fixes to such a complex engineering and financial problem,” Bartolotta said. “I am extremely happy that we were able to find a solution that will have this roadway properly repaired and reopened as soon as next year.”
