Local Volunteer Emergency Responders Receive State Grants

HARRISBURG – Local volunteer fire and EMS companies will receive nearly $900,000 in grant funding from the state, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46).

The grants are awarded as part of the Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Company Grant Program, which helps eligible organizations fund facility renovations and/or construction, equipment purchases, debt reduction and training.

“The cost of equipment, training and facilities is a huge burden on the first responder community, so every bit of support we can offer them helps,” Bartolotta said. “On behalf of all of the residents of the 46th District, I want to thank these organizations for all that they do to protect our lives and property.”
