HARRISBURG – Two grants totaling more than $700,000 will help improve learning opportunities for young people in Washington and Greene counties, according to Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46).
Intermediate Unit #1 in Washington County and the East End United Community Center in Greene County each received grants in the latest round of funding from the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Grant program.
The CCLC program, which is administered by the state Department of Education, was designed to provide additional academic programs outside of normal school hours to help students in high-poverty and struggling school districts.
